My daughter is having a hard time believing in Santa this year.

One day she came down the stairs and announced “Don’t worry guys, I already know, Santa isn’t real!” At the age of 7, she’s ready to give up on the jolly guy for good. I ywant her to believe forever. To stay in the magic and fun old Saint Nick has given her each year.

So I was quite pleased when Santa can for an early photoshoot a few weeks ago. We kept the kids out of the house while the session took place. The images turned out absolutely amazing! She saw the pictures and heard about him coming then told my sister, “Guess what Auntie Paula, Santa came to my house! Can you believe it?!”

This year my big dream of bringing him into holiday photos has been made. Fall Family Photos 2022: Bakersfield & Kern County

This fall we have lots of family photo sessions happening all over Bakersfield and the Kern County area. I can’t wait to see all our friends soon and meet new ones! Come take some family pictures September - November this year.

Lots of laughter, lots of fun - 2022 fall family sessions are available from September to November. Open to your schedule, you pick the date and I’ll schedule you for the last hour and a half of the day so we catch the beautiful golden light. There are 4 openings in September, 8 in October, and 6 in November.

Tips for making your session go as smooth as apple butter (from a photographer with a family of her own):

• Mom - pick your outfit first and then base everyone else’s wardrobe around you - it’s easier for everyone to match to you than it is for you to match everyone else.

• Everyone say, “Early dinner!” Parents be sure to feed yourselves and the kids before the session - no one wants to take pictures when they are hangry.

Thompson Family Session I Bakersfield's Best Family Photographer

Last night we took an adventure into the Mojave desert and it was perfect for the Thompson’s family photo session! I really love all the different textures and layers the desert provides plus all those earthy color tones are really great for fall! Who needs fall foliage when you’ve got this beautiful backdrop! Violette I Bakersfield's Best Newborn Photographer

This morning I got to hang out with the sweetest little 5lb peanut. Violette is a whole 11 days old and was a total dream boat! I finished her entire session in 90 minutes which is record status! She posed so easily for me! I get to show her parents her entire gallery later this week and I am so anxious for them to see all I captured of their little model!

Pedraza Family | Bakersfield Best Family Photographer Andrea Jordan

Tonight’s family session with the Pedraza family was everything I could have hoped it would be. We were originally supposed to take these portraits on their family property but due to some last minute changes Kayla asked me if we could go somewhere that looked like fall……YOU GOT IT! I was more then happy to take them to one of my favorite fall Bakersfield locations. This spot never disappoints me! It has the best golden light and colors. These are just a few sneak peeks……I can’t wait to share their entire gallery with them at their ordering appointment this coming week!!! Hopefully this is enough to hold them over until then. They were such an amazing family to work with!!!

Baby Penelope | Bakersfield Best Newborn Photographer Andrea Jordan

This morning I got to cuddle the sweetest little 5lbs of pure sugar! This baby girl couldn’t wait to meet the world and came 4 weeks early. Here is a little sneak peak from her newborn session today. She is a whole 2 weeks old, it goes so fast!! I can’t wait to share her whole gallery with her parents next week. For now I hope this holds them over!

I can’t believe this sweet girl is already 6 months! She was so happy for her session. This soft color palette was so feminine and really brought out her girliness. Eiza has to be one of the easiest little baby girls ever!

Miss Makiya's minimal Cake Smash | Bakersfield 1st Birthday Photographer Andrea Jordan

When photographing little ones it is so easy to get caught up in all the ‘stuff’ the props the things we can add in to a photo for the set. The problem with that is the next thing you know the photo is now about all these things in it and not as much about the main star…..our precious one year old! I loved this minimal cake smash and how focused it was on Makiya, isn’t she beautiful!! For all my cake smash sessions I always use Cakes by Karen and she impresses me every time. Her cakes are so full of detail and taste amazing.
